The 2019 Pentecost multi cultural event was held at Cathedral Catholic High School in Delmar on June 8th. The new venue was selected to accommodate the growing number of participants numbering approximately 2200. A total of 22 communities came together to celebrate this event presided by Bishop Robert W. McElroy. The Indian community was present in their finest traditional attire to participate in Mass as well as cultural and food exhibits. The cultural exhibit booth provided information on various christian religious traditions, churches within India as well as some of the festival articles used in religious celebrations. Traditional entertainment in the form of Margamkali (South India , Kerala) was performed by children from St Michael's ,Poway. The food exhibit provided exquisite samplings of Sorpotel (Goan culinary) with bread. With the help of the various core members of the San Diego Indian Catholic Community, this event was completed successfully.
