Baptismal Requirement     

Baptism is required for all catechetical programs and for sacramental preparation. We must have a copy of the baptismal certificate for each registered person.  Also if you haven’t done so already, we ask that you register with the parish also. 

Pre-K/Kindergarten - Elementary Faith Formation ministries

This goal of this ministry is to provide formative encounters with Christ. This ministry offers a traditional classroom approach to sharing the essentials of the faith, but also has a weekly family component.

Middle School Ministry

The primary purpose of the middle school ministry is to walk with middle school youth and their families on their faith journeys. The format is large group with break outs to small group sharing.

Pre-Confirmation / Confirmation – High School

Confirmation generally takes place during sophomore year of high school, after one of prior involvement in the high school youth ministry program.

Adult Faith Formation

Adults seeking a deeper knowledge of their faith also have many opportunities at Good Shepherd Parish.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Christian Initiation of Adults is a process for forming and welcoming new members into the Catholic Church. It is a process of conversion that is community based, emphasizing faith formation by catechesis and opening and explaining the Scriptures. This process (called RCIA) is also for Christians baptized in non-Catholic Christian communities who are seeking reception into full communion with the Church. 

Adult Confirmation

For anyone (over 18) who was baptized Catholic and has not celebrated their First Holy Communion and/or the sacrament of Confirmation. Small groups will meet in the Fall and will continue on in the Spring to prepare for Confirmation in the Easter Season.

First Eucharist - First Reconciliation

Preparation for the first celebration of these sacraments are handled by each of the coordinators of the above faith formation ministries. 

Young Adult Ministry *CURRENTLY INACTIVE*

We are a venue for young adults 18-39, single and married, to build and strengthen relationships with Christ, with one another, and with the wider community. By offering spiritual, social, and service opportunities, we hope to help fellow young adults grow in faith, deepen their commitment to justice as faithful Roman Catholics (MISSION STATEMENT). There are five components to the group: Evangelization, Catechesis, Social, Spiritual, and Service.
