Liturgy

The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the font from which all her power flows.  For the liturgy, through which the work of our redemption is accomplished, most of all in the divine sacrifice of the Eucharist, is the outstanding means whereby the faithful may express in their lives, and manifest to others, the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church. (Sacrosanctum Concillium 2, 10)

Music Ministry

The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art. The main reason for this pre-eminence is that, as sacred song united to the words, it forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy (Sacrosanctum Concillium 112)

Please contact John Gaffney, Director of Liturgy and Music  858-271-0207 ext 210 or john@goodshepherdparish.net  for more information about music ministry.
