Parish Life
A variety of workshops and seminars throughout the year are offered at Good Shepherd to help build and strengthen our faith. Topics generally cover Catholic theology and study programs. The programs are announced in the weekly parish bulletin or flyer inserts.

Blood Donors
This group of volunteers organizes blood drives and calls blood donors. Any blood donation given in the name of Good Shepherd is made available to parishioners in time of need.

House Blessings
Arrangements for a house blessing must be made eight days in advance with a priest.

Harvestfest
This annual activity brings together numerous volunteers in an effort to raise funds to help support the many ministries, activities and material needs of our parish.

Parish Council
Meetings are open to all parishioners and are held in the parish conference room. This is a group of elected parishioners who chair commissions as follows : Liturgy, Social Justice, Family Life, Parish Concerns, Ethnic Concerns, Pro-Life Issues, Evangelization, Youth & Young Adult, Social Services and Church Transportation.

St. Vincent de Paul
The primary purpose of this ministry is to aid the needy and homeless at the St. Vincent de Paul Center in downtown San Diego. This is accomplished through work at the center and in fund raising activities.

Young Adult Fellowship
This group is comprised of single and married adults ages 18 & up who gather together for social and spiritual events, outings and experiences. Planning meetings take place on the second Monday of each month.

Youth Ministry
This ministry is for all youth in grades 9 through 12 to provide opportunities to share their faith, values and concerns with each other in a supportive environment while having fun through a variety of social events and activities. Check out the website for current events!

Charismatic Prayer Group
Join us in prayer, singing, and sharing every Thursday at 7:15 p.m. in the Mother's Room in the church.

Filipino Community
This community serves as the focal point through which the Filipino community sets forth its common responsibility in carrying out the commands of Christ to proclaim God's message of salvation to all and to lead all to holiness.

Filipino Cursillo Movement
The Filipino Cursillo Movement of Good Shepherd Church aims to meet on a weekly basis to be sustained by the Word of God through studying the Bible aside from participating in the weekly Sunday Masses.

Hispanic Community
The purpose of this organization is to promote and coordinate programs of the Spanish speaking community at Good Shepherd. Meetings are held once a month.

Hispanic Charismatic Prayer Group
This prayer group meets on Wednesday evenings.

Knights of Columbus
This national Catholic fraternal organization meets and helps support various charities and participates in parish activities. Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus, Council # 9076 meet on the first Wednesday of each month.

Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary is an association of the Catholic laity open to all age 18 and above. The purpose of the Legion of Mary is to perform works of mercy in the name of the Virgin Mary and come together to recite the Rosary. This group meets every Monday evening after the 5:30 p.m. Mass.

Women's Club
If you would like to socialize with other women and give support to our church and community, then this is the club for you! The Good Shepherd Women's Club invites you to join us at our monthly meetings--the last Monday of the month at 7pm, September-June. Current "Calendar of Events"

Young Adults
There are many activities specifically geared towards young adults ages 18-35.  Many events are scheduled around the diocese and in the local regional area.  Upcoming events can be found here at the Young Adults Ministry of San Diego website.

Bible Study
Bible study sessions are available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Classes are usually weekly.

Cursillo
Cursillo is a Spanish word meaning "short course". It is a three day retreat that provides the Christian with methods to develop the whole person.

Engaged Encounter
Engaged Encounter is a weekend experience for couples planning marriage.

Marriage Encounter
The Marriage Encounter Program is for happily married couples who wish to enrich their relationship through a weekend experience.

Retrouvaille
Retrouvaille is a weekend experience for couples with troubled marriages. Emphasis is on communication between husband and wife. In addition to the weekend there are six follow-up sessions. Sessions are available in English and Spanish.
